Students will create a fantasy character, define their backstory and strengths, and take them on an adventure in a fantasy world!
Students will exercise their basic literacy, math, and critical thinking skills as they work with others on their team to explore and solve problems in a fantasy adventure setting during safe, structured social gaming sessions.
GM Jack has played thousands of hours with almost 100 first-time TTRPG players! Rules are learned through play, No experience required to signup!
With the Nimble 2 RPG system, we will use everything from 4 to 100-sided dice. Probability & Arithmetic reps abound!
Players will participate in active game design. They will collaborate on a myth, or a series of encounters that may appear in later one-shots or campaigns played in Mythic Bastionland games.
Players and gamemaster will all commit to telling a story together: safely, respectfully, and in a way that flexes all our imaginations.
Random dice rolls will determine much: from story beats to treasure & NPC reactions.
Improvisation skills will be tested, sharpened, and on full display!
Age-appropriate versions of classic and award-winning adventures will be woven into the 8-week campaign
One door closes and another opens! Surviving characters (or brand new ones) can continue to adventure as additonal game dates are announced!
